The genesis of this production was interesting. Originally designed as a trad sub Cecil B De Mille Biblical epic David Lyn had the inspired idea of setting it in a concentration camp and the prisoners telling the story for their own catharsis. I still have David’s original notes written on the back of my first designs. It released the play. Physically what brought it to life was the magically simple lighting of the sorely missed Gareth
